Writing in a cafe

I covet the things in the photo: the coffee, the notebook, the cafe table on the Parisian pavement. Ah, the things I could write there…

I hear you. It smacks of Hemingway..although I think Hem drank something a bit stronger. ;-)

I went to the South of France on holiday, moleskine in hand, me and my writing partner in crime determined to write reams of deathless prose - and we found that the cost of drinks killed any creative impulse stone dead. We just couldn’t afford to sit there all day, drinking coffee and writing, let alone drink anything that Hemingway might have imbibed!

Ah, how lovely it would be to sit there… Have some smiling server take my order … a pastry would be nice …

No new posts for over a month - have you attended rehab and are now cured of your fetish?

Certainly not :) I’m visiting my parents right now, completely stuck in family duties. Things should get better after the holidays…
