Paperclips(Image by james_jhs)

Theoretically, there’s hardly ever much need to buy paperclips. I clip things temporarily, and then either staple them, or punch holes through them, or recycle them. But paperclips disappear on a regular basis, which means that - oh, dear - I have to go stationery shopping again.

Terrible hardship, that.

Do you go through a lot of paperclips? How often do you need to restock your clip drawer?

I’m a binder-clip guy myself. When I do use a paperclip, it needs to be a jumbo. Otherwise it tends to fall through my fingers. Then there I waste time trying to pick it up which, owing to its size, is impossible.

So, yeah. Give me a binder-clip any day.

Binder clips do work better for the type of stuff I usually need to clip together. A giant stapler then works even better than that, actually :)

My cat loves a paperclip, though. I couldn’t deprive her of them, so I keep buying them. That’s my excuse, anyway.
