Spiralling

These books look much-loved. I’ve got spiral books I’ve had since the first days at uni, earnestly scribbled notes, underlined titles, highlighted definitions.

I keep them out of sheer sentimentality, but they’ve been with me for a long time, those old friends.

    It is true, spiral books are like an old friend, I have what I need in a better form, but I would never give up my spirals.
